Fossil-free and independent energy supply with geothermal energy
The second edition of the National Geothermal Forum will address the contribution of geothermal energy for a fossil-free and independent energy supply. The main topics are: Underground potential, geothermal energy for heating & cooling and geothermal energy for electricity. The detailed programme will be available in June, as well as possibility to register. Participants having registered for last edition can already use the platform for networking.
All the elements, which have contributed to the success of the first edition of the Geothermal Forum will be taken up again: it will be possible to participate in the conference on site and online and to arrange 1-to-1 appointments with other participants in advance. All sessions will be simultaneously translated and recorded in three languages. The platform www.connect4geothermal.ch remains with personnel profiles the central facilitation for targeted networking before, during and after the Geothermal Forum.
Networking among stakeholders
Persons having registered for the last edition can already login, access their personal profile, update it if necessary and contact other registered participants. After the opening of new registrations in June, new participants will also be able to publish a personal profile and present services and products. Booking of 1to1 meeting will open in August and all participants will receive their personal meeting plan shortly before Sept. 29th. Thus, targeted interactions among the different actors active for the energy transition are facilitated.

The cooperation among all relevant actors enables the integration of geothermal energy in the energy transition.
More focus in parallel session
A major change in the programme's design concerns the parallel sessions. In the first edition in 2021, there were a total of six thematic sessions spread over the day. Now there will be three parallel sessions: «Underground potential», «Geothermal energy for heating and cooling» and «Geothermal energy for electricity». In the morning, practical application examples will be shown, followed by technical aspects in the afternoon to deepen the topics. The detailed programme will be available in June.

Plenary and parallel sessions, exhibition, networking and 1to1 meetings, the forum offers again multiple added value.
The beginning of a long success story
The Geothermal Forum 2021 marked the beginning of a - hopefully long - success story. Almost 300 participants from 11 countries attended the first edition on site and online. Over 200 pre-arranged 1-to-1 meetings took place. Here you find a summary of the Forum 2021 with links to the presentations and videos of all sessions as well as numerous photos.
